One Of Those Times To Just LOL

This is just too funny

Brazilian Blast, Juventus 3-A.S. Roma 1

In case you missed it, Sunday's exhibition between Juventus and Roma was an exciting match that had been dominated by Juventus most of the time though. Roma's defence was in question, even with the likes or Burdisso or Mexes. Juventus gained three goals from Brazilian recruits Diego(2) and a goal from Felipe Melo. A great start for his first game with Juventus. Roma only managed to mark one with De Rossi's free kick.

Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes- Cassius

Nearly three years have passed since Cassius' last album, aside from CASSIUSPLAY, here is a new single that may just be hint of a new album in the works. Here is their latest video, their music combining house elements with those of electro and some rock, just as in 15 Again

My Moon My Man (Boys Noize Remix)- Feist

The Red Devils (2) vs. The Gunners (1)... Great Game!

Over the course of this weekend, saturday August 29 to be exact, futbol heads all over the world saw Manchester United reign dominancy over the Arsenal gunners with a 2-1 sweep, thanks to an own goal from Arsenal and a penalty kick, which Rooney took. Me being a Manchester United fanboy, I was surely happy to see this win take place and see my favorite team one step closer in the Barclay's Premiere League. Not to shun out the gunners however, I must say they played an equally impressive game that cannot be questioned without a doubt. Cheers to both teams, they equally deserve the same respect for being top teams within their league.

Hmm...

Nothing really new or interesting to me out in the spectrum, but just wanted to wish all the fellow CUNY students (well, some) good luck out there.

Theo Walcott x Nike Football...

(Copyright Nike)

Theo Walcott from England / Club Arsenal in a new Nike Football commercial to represent what Nike is all about through the hard work of Walcott. Props to Nike on this one, as I am a football (futbol) head, I enjoy the works they produce. I especially enjoyed the Joga Bonito series that was made, really dope. I'll post some later on. Cheers!

Daft Punk x Mitch Feinberg for Whitewall... Superb!

(Copyright Whitewall)

Most recently is the small photo work of photographer Mitch Feinberg for Whitewall Magazine. Here, Feinberg snaps a couple of the infamous Duo's performing gear which can be seen in a video I posted previously of their encore at an Alive 2007 tour venue. Even cooler is that the jacket in the video is seen lit up, which was inspiration for Kanye West's "Glow in the Dark" tour. The helmets and the jackets are freackin' sick IMO. I would love to have that jacket, and even more so if it lit up.

Forever- Drake ft. 'Ye, Lil Wayne & FINALLY Eminem (At his gritty level)

(Copyright Cash Money Records)

Dope track, for me on a personal level, Eminem does this song its justice. That's the only reason I even posted it up. Aside from that, the beat is bumpin' good. Props to the man Drake, he's putting in his work.

BOOM!!! There Goes Another IPhone In Europe

As reports of IPhones over in europe overheating and "exploding". Not to be taken into the literal sense, but there are sporadic reports of screens cracking, UBER temperatures that a tiny gadget should not be reaching, and, well of course, the bursting of the phone because of the heat levels it reaches. As it was reported, a man in France was hit with a shard of glass due to an overheating IPhone. Now, recalls for faulty hardware and such is common (Xbox 360 anyone?), but not for gadgets exploding. Whether your an Apple devotee, you better damn sure you guys are careful handling your equipment (Get your heads out the gutter people! Lol)

Heaven- DJ Sammy & Yanou ft. Do... An Instant Classic

(Copyrighted music, not my own)

Thanks to a special someone who loves this type of music as well ;]. This is undoubtedly the version by DJ Sammy and not the Brian Adams version, which gets its own props as well. Such a great song, catchy lyrics, smooth melody, gets your body groovin' alright. Cheers fam, enjoy

DJ AM... RIP (Lost One)

WTF man?!?!?! There are many deaths occurring, and form some kind of drug abuse. What is this shit?!? This has gotta stop. DJ AM was found dead in his NYC apartment at around 5:20 PM today. The drug known as paraphernalia was found inside his apartment. Sources state nothing had been heard from Adam Goldstein, his legal name. Previous to this, another accident occurred last year where he and Travis Barker were in a plane crash. On any note, condolences to DJ Am's family, may the man rest in peace and keep spinnin' in the heavens. God Bless. This drug stuff has to stop.

Is Microsoft Poland Rascist? Lol

May the photoshop gods descend upon thee Microsoft over in Poland. All I got to say to this work of art is wooooow. Whether this is some kind of racist hack or a joke of some sorts, this is quite the funnies. The image has been fixed and the original black man is now in the photo for the Polish site. Whoever worked the original image and switched it up needs better photoshop skills, at least enough where he can actually post stuff in the public domain.

Snow Leopard? Try Slow Leopard

Apple was indeed SLOW with the release of this one, especially due to that it has almost nothing new or revolutionary, which is expected of Apple by now. As it turns out, Snow Leopard indeed is true and will retail at $29 than the usual $129. Aside from the notable visual fixings and trimmings, etc., there is not much power backing it up in terms of mass upgrades to the current OS, Leopard. Think of it as an upgrade from a Chevy to a Mercedes, but not quite having reached Porsche material yet, yeah that describes it pretty well wouldn't you say? Haha. Still, with the little nifty changes Apple is giving to consumers from their current OS, it still is somewhat of a praise to behold from an Apple product, just not something to craze over, evidently.

Encore, encore!!! - Daft Punk @ Alive 2007

(Copyrighted to NicoFromNice from youtube; music copyright to Daft Punk)

What I'd do to get a hold of Daft Punk concert tickets (No, nothing exaggerated haha), but as you can see, the crowd is going off the chains for the Electronic/House duo of T-Bang and Guy-Man, both from Paris. As evident, they have a lot of love here in the States of the U.S. of A. I love to hear people go wild when they hear true classics being played. Some of these hits are from the early '90s even (Together, Music Sounds Better With You, etc.). Long Live Daft Punk. Alive is Forever!!!

DOPE VID! 3OH!3 is kick ass in my book.

Art From Nothing

Art done from recycled trash. Indeed a nice spectacle to behold, intriguing and easy on the eyes. I consider this dope as hell. Thanks to a certain special someone for the link-link.

If You Tweeted Then You Tw*t

Wrestler Triple H and actor Ashton Kutcher on Jimmy Fallon's late night show. Talking about Summer Slam, and the relationship between Triple H and twitter Lol. Having a good time, bringing out some laughs, all around fun.

I Never Let the Water Run... Lol!

LMAO! What's this little kid doing yo?

Koston SB Lows

Self explanatory. Eric Koston x Nike Sb Dunk Lows = Fuckin' Sweet. Simple colorway to reflect Koston's personal style, yet unique use of materials and such to show there is more to Koston than meets the eye. Cheers.

DJs for the Masses

If you don't know by now, DJ Hero by Activision has been announced is slated for a fall release this year. Featured in the game as "on-screen characters" are DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ Am. As a cool tidbit, there is a special DJ Hero Edition dubbed "The Renegade Edition", inspired from the song Renegade by Jay-Z and guest rapper Eminem. Pictured above is the limited edition turntable that comes with turntable stand, carrying case, and of course that nice black metal finish. The standard turntable is a gray/metallic finish. Pretty nice advancement for the music series of games coming out. Also look out for Guitar Hero 5.

And the EPIC Space Fail Continues

Pretty self explanatory.

And so this monstrosity of a "collection" persists forward. When will Pharreal (Yes, I know I spelled it this way) learn that this collection bombs. It's been going on for the last two season I think? I'm not up on BBC/Ice Cream THAT much, but I do have a base knowledge of the brand, which is enough for this junk anyway. If you wanna get up on the BBC/Ice Cream bandwagon (I prefer BBC, Billionaire Boys Club), definitely get the pieces from the prior collections (SEASON 0, haha). May set you back some, but definitely more worth it. BLAOW!!!

Some New Neighborhood Gear... Dope

As you can tell from the above pic, the new Neighborhood gear is lookin' pretty fresh and chill, perfect for the fall/winter '09 season. The collabo's this time around are Neighborhood x Marmot and Neighborhood x Disney Capsule. The collection is looking tight like Paris Hilton's... well yeaaaahhhhh. Lol! Be sure to click the title to get linked. Cheers.

The King of Pop x KAWS... Wow!

I have a ton of respect for both men, Jackson and KAWS, but to seriously make a photo layout like this, IDK. It seems a tad bit too much, especially considering that KAWS is nowhere near the level of star status and infamy Michael Jackson achieved. KAWS of course is a native of New Jersey who became acclaimed from his artistic form of graffiti, now an artwork in itself and one that cannot be mistaken. Jackson (RIP 1958-2009), the "King of Pop", who was 50 years old died of what is now to be concluded from drug abuse according to autopsies and those who study corpses. It is a sad world, indeed. God Bless Everyone.

IIIIIGHT!!!

So fuck youtube first off, filled with no life assholes anyway. VIMEO FTW!!!

And here is the video of my summer thus far, well, the end actually. Back to school :[. Hahaha. Enjoy fam!

Back to Basics With Cube (The Original Background Track to Nike's Vid)

(Property of Priority Records through usage from MTV2)

Ice Cube, the boss of bosses, ex-member of former group N.W.A., member of Westside Connection (with members W.C. and Mack 10), movie maker, and entrepreneur. Here is one of the last West Coast kings to ever grace the mic at his prime. Of course with age, one might get a bit rusty, which is evident. But here, we see a young Cube taking you through the average day of what it's like to live in Compton, exposing some of the inner thoughts of a young black male: family, money, women, 5-0, chillin', all with their recurring struggles. And note, this goes on every day (or maybe more back in the '90s), but this is just one day rolling with Ice Cube as the frontier man, separating skepticism on the life of a "gangster" and reality. Thankfully, Ice Cube is as real as it gets. WESTSIIIIIIIIIIDE!!!

It Truly Is A Good Day...

Kinda late on this one, but for your enjoyment, here it is:

(Property of Nike)

To promote his new line of the P-Rod 3's and other miscellaneous upcoming Nike gear, this special video was made in collaboration with Ice Cube, using his old school cut "It Was a Good Day" as the background track. Special guest appearances include Eric Koston and Kobe Bryant, members of the Nike family. Shout out to the boy P-Rod for winning the XGames over in L.A., your New York skate heads support you fam!!!

VG Throwback: Ridge Racer

Luckily, i found my copy back from 1999 and revived it with some toothpaste. This is the classic game that gave the PlayStation success and launched one of the PlayStation's longest running series. This game is simple and enjoyable, having more of an arcade racing feel as opposed to the Gran Turismo simulation racing.

A Stomach for Steak

If you're out on a night on the town and feel like having some steak, you should check out Megu, located in the Tribeca area. This restaurant has a Japanese theme to it, adding some pizazz to your dining experience. If you like having quality meals at fair prices, this may not be the place for you, but to splurge at least once would be alright. The main attraction here is their premium steak, the Kobe beef. There cows are treated with massages and classical music to ensure the meat doesn't become stressed and loses quality.

MF DOOM- Rhymes Like Dimes (Live) & Accordion

Now these tracks go hard. I don't care what none of ya'll say, DOOM is definitely underrated hard body. MF DOOM (MF standing for Metal Face or Metal Fingers), from the former KMD group, until his brother died in a car accident. DOOM suffered from serious depression and disappeared form the scene for the ill minute. However, focused to make a name for himself, he came back to the scene with his new moniker of MF DOOM, obviously characterized from the character Dr. Doom (from DC Comic books, I think. Comic book heads, PLEASE DON'T FLAME ME LOL), as evident by his now infamous mask that he never takes off. Aside from the name DOOM, he also uses monikers such as Viktor Vaughn, King Geedorah, and Supervillain to name a few.

Daft Punk Before Their Fame

Aside from Hip-Hop, this thread will also shed light light on a variety of house music, mainly from me, LA. Lets start with one of the most influential and recognized artists from the Parisian scene, Daft Punk. Even before Thomas Bangalter's (Tom) work in Roule, or Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's (Guy Man) duo with Eric Chedeville (Le Knight Club), they had an interest in rock music.

This was made in their teen years with Laurent Brancowitz, who is currently the guitarist for Parisian band, Phoenix. A magazine review stated that the band was nothing but a bunch of "daft punk", and that led Tom and Guy-Man in a whole new direction, separating from Laurent.

TR2N (or Tron: Legacy)

Here it is, for those who were not aware. For Shame!!! Lol ;]

Electric Zoo

So many great artists are coming out to sho wlove to NYC and the electro-heads out here. Busy P, DJ Mehdi, Armin Van Buurin, ATB, Benny Benassi, Ben Watt, Josh Gabriel, just to name a few. 50+ DJ's. Support the music NYC! Click the headline and get your tickets. I'm in no way an affiliate to the event but, I LOVE MUSIC!!!

See all you electro heads there!!! :D

To My Apple Heads Out There...

Snow Leopard is indeed coming, with a rumored shipping date of August 28 according to Apple Store UK. I'll keep you guys posted on this one for sure.

On the tech side of things...

The new gen of Apple products draws closer and closer, and as is the iPhone wasn't ruling every technological domain, it can supposedly playback HD video in 1080p format. That's progressive folks, not interlaced. WTF. How can a contraption that small be capable of such a high resolution. Regardless, it is an impressive feat, and one that many are following suit as well. Big-ups to the new age of technology, oh what a splendor indeed.

Also, the PS3 is being slimmed down and upgraded components, that is parts, are being revised and so-on and so-forth. I don't like all the tech mumbo jumbo, I'll leave that to the experts. Although, I can get technical myself, but for the sake of my readers I will not, sometimes haha. But yes, like the original PS2, which was slimmed down dubbed the PS2-Slim, the PS3 will undergo the same process, with a retail of $300 to boot.
Cheers my PS3 fanboys and videogame heads alike.

BRed Jordan Spiz'ike's (Coming out in 2010, O_O)

Now, I Ain't really a fan of Jordans or any shoe from the brand (NOT HATING, because I do make an exception for Black/Cement III's), but these are pretty dope. Always love shoes in the BRed colorway. For those who don't know, BRed stands for black & red ;].

Jay-Z- Run This Town (ft. Rihanna & 'Ye)

A pretty dope track fresh for '09

IT'S THE ROC!!!

Classic Throwback: Nas- Nas Is Like (Prod. by DJ Premier)

Damn. "Nas Is Like", off the album I Am from 1999. Arguably one of the best tracks to come out of the late '90s and surely a great way to end the decade coming into the millenium. The roots of hip-hop need to go back just a bit lol. Nas was definitely at a superb prime back in the day, not to discredit his work now, but you can surely tell the difference, I'm certain.

The Beginning of a New Dawn

Alright, welcome to the new blog site. My name is J_______ A______, but I'll just be referred to as "The General", more emphasis on the 'general'. Why, you may ask? Because I have seen much, lived through much, I'm just here to network, with you guys, the readers. I love people, communicating, socializing. I draw big inspiration to start this from Mr. Levi Maestro and his series best known as "Maestro Knows". Props to that.

Most important of all for you to know, I'll be posting up random things of my interest, review them, all that stuff, etc.

I hangout within the NYC area, it's only natural lol. Who knows, maybe you've seen us.

As a heads up, this blog will center on anything I feel like posting up, mainly things regarding fashion, cars, technology, music, politics, etc. When I mean ANYTHING, I seriously mean ANYTHING! But not any type of bullshit, anything that is certainly worthwhile, as to not waste your time neither. TIME IS MONEY!!!

To leave the first post on a good note, here's something to give you a little laugh. Real or not, this shit is quite the funnies:
