For the bus
For the train to arrive to go to work or school
For your breath to crawl down my neck
For the attendance sheet to pass by
For your fingers to clutch onto my hips
For it to be summer again
For that dinner with that special someone
For your spine to arch back as I bring you closer
For the exam to be graded
Sometimes, we may just find ourselves waiting.
Waiting for the right person
For marriage
For kids
For life...
All of these sound like legitimate reasons to wait on,
to act as if time itself may be in one's control.
Right now, I'm just waiting for you to relax,
see past my wrongs from a troubled state
You have a right to be angry, you do
As wrong as it may be, as pathetic as it may sound
Right here, right now
