So there is a new Catwoman for the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises. Once again directed by Christopher Nolan, who did a superb job on the previous entry in the series, this one will surely be just as great. Oh what the...? So Apparently rumors are circulating that the BAPE NY store is closing its operations, leaving only the dreaded BBC/IC store in SoHo. Wow, that actually worked backwards. I thought Pharrell's store would close down before Nigo's, damn. Any who, this is truly a sad day for BAPE heads, although with the way the brand has been doing, I personally am not too surprised. I think the webstore has more business than the actual store, but I do not know the numbers, so I cannot say. I hope BAPE returns underground and makes a revolution in the future.

How To Make It In America: SEASON 2!

Finally, a teaser for the second season of 'How To Make It In America'. I think this is one of those shows that HBO did good by, although sometimes, personally, I feel like it's a bit slept on. I enjoyed the first season, haven't watched all the episodes, but the ones I have watched kept me entertained, made me laugh, opened my eyes to some stuff that I do see actually go down in the streets. The streets are rough, but everyone wants to make it, whether it be book smart or street smart, we know which approach this show takes. As a side note, I think Cudi actually plays his part really well, despite some small criticism people stated that he wouldn't be able to act. Either way, I don't care, all the characters make the show for me. Season two, we in there!

Another collaborative effort by mastermind Japan, this time with Numero TOKYO on a swimwear set. Customized with the mastermind brand skull motif all around, this piece is quite the attention caller, but then again anything with a skull might be. This can be pre-ordered on the ZOZOTOWN website, but are set to drop sometime June 11th. The price is somewhere between $325, and although I still have a fixation on mastermind Japan, I am not too sure about wearing black in the Summer time.

Here we are presented with FC Barcelona's new sponsor, the Qatar Foundation, and their new kits which are brought to you by said sponsor. Personally, I like their current kits which were by UNICEF, the colors and everything stood out to me and it was great, the placement of logos, brands, etc. This new kit seems off by a bit, but I am sure it will grow onto me as it will many Barca fans worldwide regardless. What do you guys think on it?

I was split between the two teams, since I am a fanatic for Arsenal, but I do like Rooney as well. I appreciate Wayne's love for the game. Nevertheless, a game stupendously well played. Rooney seemed to be the only one in Manchester United actually trying out there, so I was not surprised the result was what it was. Although I was hoping at least 3-2, but 3-1? I do not know if the God's were watching down upon Barca but they pulled off some amazing goals in this game. The first by Pedro, the second by la pulga, Messi, and the closer by Villa. Although they only scored once, that one goal by Manchester's Rooney was phenomenal as well. Not the best ending to the Champions League, but not bad neither.

KIDult, the new face of Graffiti

KIDult speaks on the world of graffiti-ism. What interests me about the video is that my uncle does a lot of graffiti, or at least used to. And he was really good at it too. But like all things, we grow up and we have to prioritize. KIDult however has found a loophole and markets on his scribblings and has now become an icon similar to Banksy, in my opinion. It was surely time for a comeback. I mean really, how long did they think we could replay their first LP "Cross" over and over again? The video is directed by Edouard Salier and takes a different approach to the song's concept. We see buffalo roaming the landscape and as the world starts to crumble, civilization deteriorating, havoc begins to ensue. There are also statuesque figures of Gods all around and some other landmarks that you may recognize. Near the end of the video we see the end of the buffaloes and a large statue arises from what seems to be a volcanic flaming core. The "Civilization" EP drops June 6th with remixes to boot. So this is Lindsey Lohan making a comeback, out of nowhere, ignoring her past faults. More or less I'm at a loss for words, not only because I don't think she's ready for a comeback yet, but because this woman needs help. She really has been on a roller coaster these past few years with her life. Maybe I have a thing for Lohan, whatever the case may be, I wish I could help her. Needless to say, the montage of clips in the video are quite nice, and Lohan is looking beautiful as ever.

Swedish House Mafia, composed of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell, produce yet another banger for this summer. In 2009 it was "Leave the World Behind Me", in 2010 it was the international hit "One" ft. Pharrell, and this year it's "Save the World" ft. John Martin. The video itself is nothing but innovative and different in its approach than most dance/house/club type songs. I personally like the video, being quite entertaining and definitely unexpected, but most importantly, the song itself! Definitely a hot one for the summer.

Looking Back for a Moment

These sneakers bring me back a little. Used to be in my personal collection. These are the limited Louis Vuitton x Kanye West Patchwork Dons from the LV & Kanye West collaboration.

Purchased at the SoHo Louis Vuitton store, these shoes definitely deserve respect when worn. They were constructed of amazing materials, some of the best I had ever seen on a sneaker, period. Sad that I sold these, I'm actually trying to re-buy them again if the price is right, but these really shouldn't be more than what they already retail for, but aside from that, there are none in my size. I guess I'm saving to buy other stuff either way since I want to venture into the world of Louboutin, as an example. Regardless, these sneakers were top gun, the gold accents on the laces, the colors, the heel tab in the back, these stood out in any public affair. If you could own these sneakers just for a while, you would definitely not be disappointed. But surely, then the price tag will hit you later.

Wow, what an amazing Wednesday morning. Just wanted to do another quick post before I head out to meet with my boy and eat dinner with my parents. It's going to be high 80's today, wow, and my ass like to wear black. This is obviously going to be a problem haha. It's Going to be a Hot Summer

Here is just a preview of some of the things I personally own. From my collection, Louis Vuitton Evidence's & Millionaire's, released 2008/09 (not entirely sure) and 2005/07 (mine are the '07 rerelease) respectively.

Both are magnificent pairs, perfections from the luxury house that has a long history that specializes mainly in handbags. They are both stunning in person and I have yet to try on the Evidence's in public. Unfortunately, my Millies do not fit my head anymore (big head, sigh...) so I have had them in my drawer and have to sell them. If you're on SuFu or SoleCollector, contact the_general. So, I have this thing where I like to look at fashion back in the days, whether it be high end, street, urban, formal wear, on every day people, celebrities, etc. I'll look at how a fit used to be and be like, "wow, time really has passed", and indeed, it has. Here's one that I personally like, and the fact she gives Bape a sexy look for the ladies is a plus.

So Bape and Neighborhood are at it for one ore go, eh? Remember the previous collection? Lol. Titled "Bro.Hood", the collection seems to be pretty simple, focusing on the brand logo composed from the two brands, the NA, inspired from the Yankees logo.

However, I will say this, Nigo and Shinsuke Takizawa need to be a bit more creative right about now. Bape hasn't been on a great boat as of late, and Neighborhood seems to be slowly following that path. Albeit, they have very nice pieces here and there, just not as a whole. My favorite items, and I use the term favorite loosely, are the Apestas (Chuck Taylor look-a-likes) and the hoodie. The worst part is, the best colorways, which in my opinion are the items in the black colorways, are only for the Neighborhood Tokyo store, whereas Bape stores will get white and grey colorways of the items.

The Uprise of High-End Brands: The Good & Bad

So, there seems to be this revolution happening at the very moment where everyone is now buying high end brand items, be it clothing, accessories, shoes, sneakers, etc.

I've come to ask myself why this is exactly, maybe it's because of the fact that I'm becoming older and this is just something I'm naturally going to witness, since older people have somewhat more money, they can buy this stuff. Logically this makes sense, but then I wonder, should it be like this? After all, everyone has the right to do what they wish, don't get me wrong. I actually do enjoy seeing people happy when they walk out of the Louis Vuitton store with a new bag or shirt, and their smile across their face. But sometimes it even gets the most of people that can't afford it, and that's where a line is met, to me at least. Obviously, it's a "high-end" brand so it's exclusive to the more wealthy, but my point for this post is when I see snobby people with such brands, or people that shouldn't exactly be wearing it because they make the brand look bad. To say the least, just because you have a Louis Vuitton bag, that does not make you the sh*t people. Get some real exclusivity, then talk. Show me your pair of Millionaires, then you'll have my respect. Anyone want to share their two-cents on this discussion, I'd love to hear your input guys.

DJ Premier x Nike AF1 Low Quickstrike

This is a clean pair of AF1's by far, considering there aren't many great ones to begin with. My only favorite pair are the "Busy P's", and even those I would hesitate to buy. The materials used on the DJ Premier AF1 are pretty unique ad the colors make for a clean shoe, nothing crazy. The orange makes it pop out just enough for it to be noticed, but not hypebeast noticed. The back panels from both shoes form "DJ PREMIER" when placed side by side and come with "PREMIER" tip laces. DJ Premier is a legend in the Hip-Hip game and rightfully deserves his own shoe, the question is, should it have come out like this?
